Your gift will help a child have a little sunshine ina very difficult time.

We are a volunteer, community based charity. We haveno salaried employees, depending entirely on publicdonations and volunteersupport. Our mission is tobring love, hope and joy tothese young cancer patientsand their families as theyconfront the devastatingdiagnosis and treatment.
- The funds we raise are targeted atseveral fronts as we strive tomake a difference in their precious lives.
- Knowing that the best gift we can give thesechildren is a cure, we help fund innovativepediatric cancer research
- Seeing the daily challenges these children face,we provide special monthly programs orprojects while the children are hospitalizedbringing them comfort, amusement andpositive distractions from their difficult situation.
- Recognizing that childhood cancer is not thesame as adult cancer, we work to educate thepublic and raise awareness about the issues ofchildhood cancer and encourage collaborativecommunity efforts.
Our fundraising efforts include two major events —“The Mad Dash” Community Walk and A Summer Night Family Fun Event. We also sell customMaddi gift cards,holiday cards and invitations, MaddiWear shirts, hats,and bags creativelydesigned byMaddi’s mom Donna. Through this experience, we became aware thatchildhood cancer is not a rarity. According to the Foundation of Children’s Oncology Group,childhood cancer is the number one killer of children and adolescents in North America. Morechildren die of cancer than any other disease,including asthma, diabetes, cystic fibrosis,congenital anomalies and AIDS combined.
