Habitat Authority’s “Hike in the Hills” of Whittier, CA November 20, 2010

Hiking is something that I’ve always loved to do.  You can get a good “workout” while enjoying the beauty of nature.  The Habitat Authority  is a group who is dedicated to preserving the Whittier and Puente Hills that surround us and consist of about 4,000 acres as well as to protect the biological diversity in the hills.  They provide Nature Workshops, Hikes and other programs to educate and give an understanding of the importance of the preservation of this land.  One such hike will be held on Saturday November 20th from 9am to 11am and will begin.  You will learn about the plants, wildlife and restoration of the Preserve.

The Habitat Authority website is www.habitatauthority.org where you can go and find other great things to do through their organization.
