The flu season is upon us and as winter approaches, people will start to make doctors appointments to get the flu vaccine. But why schedule an appointment and pay co-pay insurance fees when you can get the flu vaccine for free, well only if you’re over 50.
The City of Norwalk Senior Center will be hosting a free flu vaccine clinic this Wednesday November 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The clinic is being supported by the Los Angeles County Department of Health.
The clinic will be free to all seniors 50 and over, however if you are between the ages of 18-49 and have a chronic illness such as: asthma, heart disease, diabetes or a kidney disorder you too will be eligible to receive the free influenza (flu) vaccine.
There will be a limited supply of vaccines and they will be administered on a first come, first-served basis so arrive early.
If you can’t attend the free vaccine clinic contact the Los Angeles Department of Health for more information on more free clinics that they will be providing.
